Editor's note: The following is a summary of this week's Time magazine cover story.

It is 9 a.m. on a fresh, sunny Saturday in Rockford, Illinois, and nearly a thousand people have gathered in the gymnasium at Rock Valley College to participate in a town meeting with their Senator, Barack Obama.

"He would get my vote for sure after our long suffuring under a C+ student we could have a man that studied law at Harvard University. He was elected the first African American president of the Harvard Law Review, graduating magna cum laude in 1991.

I'm sure not everyone knows what the greatness & significance of being the President of The Harvard Law Review entails but this is a huge honor and one worthy of a candidate for President of the United States of America..."
