Actually not mine got them from About.com but these are the real deal: (Quit Smoking Dummy!)

Cold & Flu Treatment
Fever:

Drink more fluids.
Layer clothing and add or remove layers as you get hot & cold.
Get more rest.
Take acetaminophen (Tylenol), or ibuprofen to ease body aches (see warning below).
Congestion:

If your nose is red and sore from rubbing with tissues, put a bit of petroleum jelly on the sore area.
If you have sinus pain, try putting a warm washcloth over the area.
Take decongestant pills or use a decongestant nasal spray.
Note: Don't use a decongestant nasal spray (like Afrin) for more than three days. Longer use can make your symptoms worse.
Cough:

Drink plenty of clear fluids.
Breathe moist, warm air from a hot shower, a bowl of hot water, or a room humidifier.
Take cough syrup with guaifenesin and dextromethorphan, such as Robitussin DM.
Don't smoke. Stay away from others who smoke. It irritates your lungs and causes a dry, hacking cough.
Sore Throat:

Drink extra clear fluids.
Suck on a Popsicle, ice cubes, hard candy, or throat lozenges to soothe your throat.
Gargle four to six times a day with salt water (1/4 teaspoon salt in 1 cup warm water).

Don't smoke. Stay away from others who smoke. It irritates your lungs and causes a dry, hacking cough.
Headache / Muscle Aches:

Get extra rest.
Take acetaminophen (Tylenol), or ibuprofen to help relieve pain (see warning below).
Colds and the Flu should resolve within a week to 10 days. If you don't feel better after 10 days you should check with your doctor.

Preventing Colds or the Flu

Wash your hands frequently and avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
Eat well, get enough rest, and exercise.
Don’t smoke. Smokers are more likely to catch a cold and more likely to have a cold develop into a more serious infection, such as pneumonia.
Avoid secondhand smoke. Exposure to secondhand smoke also makes you more susceptible to colds and flu.
Consider getting a flu shot.
The flu can be more serious for people will chronic health problems. If you have a chronic illness talk to your doctor about your best prevention and treatment options.

Warning: Do not give aspirin to anyone under 20 years of age. It has been linked to a rare but serious disease, Reye's syndrome. You can use acetaminophen (Tylenol).
